GCPS Granite Certified Professional Standards Program
What is GCPS? (Granite School District)
Granite Certified Professional Standards program (GCPS) is a program to encourage professional growth through education. Secretaries who obtain a professional certificate through (GCPS) will be paid a stipend amount each year (to be divided over 24 checks.) in recognition of their achievement in obtaining the certificate. Hourly secretaries can qualify for a one time stipend (the dollar amount will be prorated based on the number of hours worked) and will be paid in June/July. Deadline for hourly application is last day of school. Rules and procedures for obtaining a GCPS certificate are established by Granite School District.
You can achieve any of the levels of GCPS through education or job enhancement training (see application for levels and stipend amounts).
Payments will begin as of the date when official documentation of the certificate is received by the Human Resources office from the secretary, or the effective date of the certificate, whichever is later. Documentation must include a copy of the certificate. The amount of extra payment will depend on the level of certification achieved.

PSP (National)
What is PSP?
The Professional Standards Program (PSP) is a voluntary program established by the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP) to encourage educational office professionals to grow professionally.
The privilege of participation will be open to active and retired members only. The program is designed as a series of five levels in Option I and nine levels in Option II.
The awarding of a certificate based on education, experience, and professional activity recognizes each level of achievement in the program. The current highest-level certificate must be recertified five years from issue date or upgraded according to the guidelines to be considered current by NAEOP.
A member who applies for and/or currently holds the Advanced III, Option I, or Associate Degree or higher under Option II is qualified to apply for the distinction of Certified Educational Office Employee (CEOE).
